Rebecca Pang is an account supervisor at McNeil Wilson Communications, specializing in travel marketing, promotions and events. In her role, she manages PR efforts for the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau - the state's marketing agency for North America, and the legendary Hotel Hana-Maui.
She has an extensive travel and tourism PR background, having previously serviced Oahu Visitors Bureau, Ala Moana Center, Doris Duke’s Shangri La, Hawaii Tourism Authority, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii, Kona Brewing Company, Honolulu Festival, Island Air, and many other clients while employed at Stryker Weiner & Yokota Public Relations, Inc.
She has successfully pitched and placed clients onto national television programs including Good Morning America, Today, The Early Show, Fox & Friends, Extra, Better TV, Travel Channel, Food Network; print outlets Travel & Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Budget Travel, Out Traveler, Shape, Self, Family Circle, Lucky, Glamour, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle; online sites Concierge.com, Daily Candy, Glam.com, Orbitz, About.com, Uptake.com, and many more. She has also appeared as a spokesperson on several network TV programs and radio shows.
Prior to relocating to Hawaii, Rebecca was a marketing associate at LA INC. The Convention and Visitors Bureau. She also worked at the Los Angeles Times as an editorial assistant and digital imaging/photography intern. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in communication with a minor in fine arts.
Rebecca has been a member of PRSA Hawaii since 2005 and served in various leadership roles, including Koa Anvils Chair and Communications Chair. She was recognized by PRSA Hawaii as the Young Professional of the Year in 2007 and currently serves as Membership Chair. She has received numerous Koa Anvil Awards from PRSA Hawaii for outstanding PR work. She also serves on the board of directors for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure - Hawaii Affiliate.
