Duke Gonzales, APR

Duke has served as Senior Communications Specialist for the Honolulu District of the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) since 2004. In that capacity he is responsible for all public affairs, media relations and employee communications in the Honolulu District, including Pacific Islands areas served by USPS.

He is a public relations professional with 24 years experience, primarily with nonprofit private-sector organizations, including the Shriners Hospital for Children, the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the Waikiki Aquarium.

Duke is an active member of the PRSA Hawaii chapter, having recently earned the Gregg W. Perry Award for PR Professional of the Year in 2011. He has served in various leadership positions on the chapter's board, including a stint as Chapter President in 2004. He also served two terms on the PRSA Western District board. He achieved his Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2001.

Duke received his bachelor's degree in journalism, with a public relations emphasis, from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and is the proud father of one delightful daughter.
