On Maui -- Brand Reputation and Crisis Management by Paula Pedene, APR

It takes years and a lot of great work to build your company's brand and reputation, but it only takes one mistake to lose it. Whether it's a major company mistake, poor performance, natural disasters, personal error or on social media, how you handle it, advise your leadership team, guide your employees and communicate to your publics will determine if your company will burn or shine brighter. Reputation management is not just about being a good communicator, it's about planning and executing a formal strategic plan. Are you leading at that level?

Paula Pedene, APR has earned several industry awards including the highest honor in PRSA: a Silver Anvil for Reputation and Brand Management. During the program, Pedene will share her experiences in reputation management and how to integrate all facets with a brand, and touch on how to handle crisis and issues that can destroy your brand. Pedene was one of the first Whistleblowers at the Phoenix Veterans Affairs.

In 2010, she collaborated with Dr. Sam Foote in exposing funds mismanagement and a hostile work environment. She helped discover the “Secret Wait List,” the wait time scandal, and other issues affecting VA and its care for our veterans.  

Pedene is the current chair of PRSA Western District and founder of PedenePR in Phoenix, Ariz.
