Free for Members! PR Ethics Talk-Story with Ralph Kam

09/17/14
It's National Ethics Month!
Join Us For a PR Ethics Talk-Story Session with Ethics Expert Ralph Kam

As busy communications professionals, the week is jam-packed with meetings, requests, and day-to-day tasks that can sometimes distract us from giving proper attention to critical topics, like ethical issues.

Join PRSA Hawaii for an interactive program on ethics in our profession. We'll use LiveSift technology to live poll the audience on a PR ethics pop quiz, discuss a social media ethics scenario, and Ralph will also take your own burning ethics questions. Members who attend will also receive a discount code to use for LiveSift membership. Ralph Kam, PRSA Hawaii's resident ethics expert and recent Hall of Honor inductee, will facilitate with help from PRSA president and Hawaiian Airlines senior public relations specialist Huy Vo.

Ralph Kam, APR, Fellow PRSA, has decades of public relations experience in government, health care, financial services and education. He is one of few public relations professionals from Hawaii to be invited to the PRSA College of Fellows and National Board of Directors. An active PRSA member, Kam consistently works to support and enhance the public relations profession and standards for the professional, most recently revamping the PRSA Code of Ethics, which provides the industry standard of ethical conduct for everyone affiliated with the Public Relations Society of America. In addition to his accomplishments in PRSA, Kam has taught public relations and communication courses to thousands of students at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Hawaii Pacific University, Chaminade University and the University of Phoenix.

Before you come and in honor of Ethics Month, take a few moments to review the PRSA Member Code of Ethics.
