There's a lot more to an effective social media program than just posting pretty pictures of sun-soaked beaches or what you just ate on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Understanding your audience, developing a sound strategy, knowing which platforms to leverage, and utilizing the right tools and analytics to measure progress is an essential part of any community manager's job no matter how big or small the audience.

In this presentation geared towards experienced social media users, Jason Umino, senior digital strategist and marketing analyst for the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, will share an inside look at how the state's destination marketing agency for North America integrates its social media outreach into its total marketing efforts.

What you'll learn:

  • How to seamlessly add social media into your marketing program
  • Tips on selecting the best social media platforms that work for your brand
  • Best practices on monitoring your social media initiatives and how to build engagement
  • How to empower others in your organization to become social media savvy
