Hawaii Public Relations Professional Earns Distinguished Industry Credential

HONOLULU – (Jan. 28, 2016) The Hawaii chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) announced David Pettinger, vice president of Anthology Marketing Group, as the latest member to earn the industry’s prestigious APR credential.

The Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is a mark of distinction for public relations professionals who demonstrate their commitment to the profession and to its ethical practice, and who are selected on the basis of broad knowledge, strategic perspective, experience and sound professional judgment.

“We are pleased to have David join the ranks of Hawaii public relations professionals who hold the APR credential,” said Duke Gonzales, APR, who serves as co-chair of PRSA Hawaii’s Accreditation Committee. “Through his work over the years, he has proven to be a thoughtful leader who provides excellent strategic communications counsel to his clients.”

“The rigorous process to achieve accreditation challenged me to think critically about the knowledge, skills and abilities that are required of seasoned practitioners to provide sound counsel,” said Pettinger. “I can attest to the value the APR credential provides and hope to encourage others in our field to apply and take advantage of the excellent support network that includes APR members in Hawaii and across the country.”
